This series of paintings draws its titles and inspiration from the archetypes of Holst’s The Planets. The larger narrative still lifes are each named for one of the musical themes (Age, Jollity, etc), while the smaller bowl paintings are named for the meanings behind five of the original Gilbert Baker pride flag colors. May we all find our own containers overflowing with these gentle offerings.
